You know alot of people mispronounce the words Realty and Realtor. In fact the receptionist at one of the real estate companies, that I call frequently, mispronounces it.
I took this picture of a sign that was obviously assembled by somebody that didn't pronounce it right. I don't know what folks were thinking when they named real estate agents realtors. Actually Realtor indicates somebody who is a card carrying member of the NAR (National Association of Realtors). I guess they thought that someone who sells Real estate should be called a Realtor just like someone who makes sculpture is a sculptor. Point is though that alot of people pronounce it real-uh-tor or real-uh-ty. I even know Real-a-tors that pronounce it wrong. If you work with one let 'em know that you know how to pronounce it right. Maybe you can teach your Real-a-tor how to pronounce it right. |
